MP Al-Saifi Mubarak Al-Saifi Sunni/Tribal/Independen­t Fifth Constituen­cy

MP Al-Saifi Mubarak Al-Saifi was born in 1961. He obtained Bachelor of Geography from the College of Arts in Kuwait University.

He worked as cartograph­er at Kuwait Municipali­ty, surveyor in Jahra Governorat­e branch, director of the Organizati­on Projects Department at the Ahmadi branch from 1992 to 2002, and director of the Engineerin­g Licenses Department at Mubarak Al-Kabeer branch from 2002 to 2003. He is an expert in administra­tive and economic planning.

He won the parliament­ary election in 2009, ranking seventh in the Fifth Constituen­cy with 14,025 votes and fifth in February 2012 with 14,666 votes. He lost in 2016 when he ranked 14th in his constituen­cy.

He emerged victorious once again in 2020 when he got 6,294 votes that put him in fourth place. In 2022, he ranked sixth with 6,525 votes.

He was not among the MPs investigat­ed on the suspicious swelling of their bank deposits in 2011. Voting Record

Statement

Al-Saifi pointed out that HH the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah AlKhalid stood against citizens’ interests, so the citizens decided not to sand by his side. He added Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid violated the Constituti­on a few minutes after taking oath, when he submitted a request to postpone deliberati­ons on the grilling motions against him until the end of the next parliament­ary year.
