Kuwait, Italy to boost ties
Undersecretary of the National Guard Lieutenant General Hashim Al-Rifai discussed with the Chief of the General Staff of the Italian Armed Forces Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone opportunities for future military cooperation in light of the distinguished relations between the two countries.
The National Guard said in a press statement today, Wednesday, that Lieutenant-General Al-Rifai indicated, during his meeting with the Italian delegation, that there is a tendency to conclude a memorandum of understanding between the Guard and the Italian
Armed Forces in the field of training, holding courses, military and security exercises, specialized consultations, and exchanging information.
Lieutenant General Al-Rifai stressed the keenness and interest of the leadership in the Guard to exchange experiences with prestigious military institutions.
For his part, the Chief of the General Staff of the Italian Armed Forces expressed his welcome to open channels of military cooperation and exchange of experiences with the Kuwaiti National Guard in order to benefit in the field of armament and training. (KUNA)
