‘Work for defense of homeland’
KUWAIT CITY, March 14, (KUNA): First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior and Acting Minister of Defense Sheikh Talal Khaled Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah affirmed that members of the Kuwaiti army must make more efforts and continue the sincere and tireless work to defend the homeland, preserve its security and stability, and defend its precious soil.
This came in a statement by Sheikh Talal Khaled, conveyed by a press statement issued by the Ministry of Defense today, Tuesday, during his meeting with the Kuwaiti army leaders at the headquarters of the Land Force Command, in the presence of the authorized Chief of the Army’s General Staff, Major General Engineer Dr. Ghazi Al-Shammari.
The minister pointed out the need to work to achieve maximum benefit from the joint exercises with the armed forces of brotherly and friendly countries, in a way that contributes to raising the level of combat readiness for army personnel and enhances cooperation efforts, joint teamwork and the exchange of experiences among them.
He praised the efforts made by all army units and the high morale of its members, wishing everyone continued success and for the good, upliftment and stability of our beloved country under our wise leadership.
During the meeting, Sheikh Talal Khaled reviewed a number of approved plans and programs for preparing and qualifying army personnel in an effort to develop their capabilities and improve the level and efficiency of their performance.
The volume of cooperation and coordination with the various military sectors in the country was also shown, with the aim of uniting efforts and achieving immediate response in dealing with various crises, circumstances and emergency events.
Fake companies raided:
The Inspection Department at the Employment Protection Sector in the Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) carried out an extensive campaign against fake establishments in Farwaniya Governorate, reports Al-Qabas daily.
This campaign resulted in the seizure of 233 fake commercial establishments in five commercial complexes, as it was found that they are not engaged in any commercial activity.
MEW transactions:
Assistant Undersecretary for the Planning and Training Sector at the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy Ali Shaaban said the ministry completed a total of 24,909 transactions through its electronic portal and ‘Sahl’ application from Jan 1 to Dec 31, 2022, reports Al-Rai daily.
The daily obtained a copy of the statistics on last year’s online service transactions showing that Farwaniya Governorate recorded the highest number of such transactions with 7,521; followed by Ahmadi with 6,192; Hawally with 3,872; the Capital with 3,385; Mubarak Al-Kabeer with 2,697 and Jahra with 1,242.
