Ministry of Health ready to support medical staff to serve health system
12 medical associations honored
KUWAIT CITY, March 20, (KUNA): Minister of Health Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadhi affirmed on Monday, the Ministry’s keenness to harness all means of support for medical personnel to serve the health system to provide superior care to citizens and residents.
Minister Al-Awadhi indicated in a press statement following the celebration held by the Kuwaiti Medical Association under his auspices to honor the distinguished medical links to the importance of conferences and forums that these links are held in various medical specialties with the aim of exchanging experiences, benefiting from experiences, and finding out about the latest scientific findings in the field of diagnosis and treatment and prevention methods.
Tremendous efforts
He added that the Ministry is keen to remove all obstacles facing the workflow and to solve the problems that stand in the way of medical personnel while they perform their national role, praising the tremendous efforts of Kuwaiti doctors and the responsibility they bear in treating patients in all the Ministry’s facilities.
He affirmed his support for all doctors, the medical association and the medical associations in their conferences and workshops that they organize and all that they do in terms of updating medical policies.
In turn, the President of the Kuwaiti Medical Association, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Tawalah, said that 12 medical associations were honored for their efforts and excellence in holding medical conferences and workshops, as well as organizing awareness days and events.
He added that honoring is the least that can be given to doctors who conducted 400 scientific activities through their associations last year, pointing out that the medical associations are the main organizers for medical conferences and practical and scientific workshops in the State of Kuwait.
He stressed the importance of continuing medical education, which is a prerequisite for a doctor’s promotion, and here comes the role of medical associations in holding conferences and workshops that include points for continuous education which helps to update the approved medical information and practices.
