KFAS keen to support research sector to enhance science and technology system
KUWAIT CITY, March 23, (KUNA): Deputy Director General of Strategic Programs at the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS), Dr. Khawla Al-Shayji, confirmed on Wednesday, the Foundation’s keenness to providing support to the scientific research sector to enhance and support the science, technology and innovation system.
Issued by the Foundation on the occasion of the conclusion of the activities of the conference ‘Scientific Research of Kuwait University 2023’ with the support and funding of the Foundation, which was held on the current 14 at the Cultural Center in Sabah Al-Salem University City.
Al-Shayji said that the Foundation’s support for the conference came from the directives of His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad AlSabah, may God protect him, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences who paid special attention to scientific research and supporting pioneering projects and ideas in Kuwait.
He added that the Foundation’s participation in the conference’s work came to achieve its goals represented in being a pillar to stimulate and support scientific and knowledge giving in Kuwait and in order to contribute to developing concepts and ideas that would contribute to advancing development in the country.
She explained that the conference provided the participants with unique opportunities to learn from their peers, communicate with experienced specialists, learn about the results of the latest research, and get acquainted with the best global experiences.
Al-Shayji pointed out that such events contribute to capacity building and advance career progression through learning about the latest scientific technology and innovations.
