Kuwait Defense Minister urges top brass to boost cooperation
Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Acting Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, urged military leaders on Thursday to strengthen cooperation and coordination across various sectors of the Kuwaiti army while accelerating work pace and achievements.
The call was made during a meeting chaired by Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, as stated in a press release from the Ministry of Defense. The meeting, attended by senior military leaders and Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Lieutenant General Pilot Bandar Al-Muzain, focused on discussing and reviewing programs and plans for various military sectors. Identified were key obstacles and difficulties hindering the execution of assigned tasks and duties within these sectors.
Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef emphasized the importance of intensified follow-up efforts, direct monitoring of workflow mechanisms, and efforts to enhance the capabilities of unit members according to the highest technical and technological standards. This is aimed at keeping pace with advancements in armament and military equipment.
Furthermore, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef reiterated the Ministry of Defense’s commitment to following the directives of His Highness the Amir, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. These directives, articulated during His Highness’s visit to the Ministry of Defense on the occasion of Ramadan, emphasized the establishment of justice and impartiality, the implementation of legal measures to safeguard public funds, and the inspection of camps’ infrastructure. Additionally, they stressed the intensification of training and joint exercises to enhance the performance and readiness of Kuwaiti army members, along with providing support and encouragement to Kuwaiti cadres from within the country.
