Fire directorate refutes claims on social media
KUWAIT CITY, March 28: The Public Relations and Media Department of the Directorate-General of Fire Department (DGFD) has issued a statement refuting claims circulating on social media regarding the response time of firefighters to a vehicle fire in Wafra Farms, reports AlAnba daily.
The statement asserts that these claims are inaccurate and misleading.
Furthermore, the DGFD has emphasized that legal action will be taken against individuals responsible for spreading false information about the incident.
The department urged citizens and residents to refrain from sharing unverified news and to verify the authenticity of sources before disseminating information on social media platforms.
The statement clarifies that the DGFD responded promptly to the vehicle fire incident in Wafra and refutes any allegations suggesting otherwise. They have urged the public to rely on official channels for accurate information regarding firefighting operations and emergencies.
Drug addict nabbed: The Mubarak Al-Kabeer police have arrested an unidentified person for possessing and consuming drugs, reports Al-Anba daily. The daily said the man was caught at a police checkpoint in Al-Qurain and that at the time of arrest he was under the influence of drugs. Police found in his car narcotic substances and drug paraphernalia. He has been handed over to the Directorate-General for Drugs Control.
Fake goods seized: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has shut down two stores in Mubarakiya Market for selling counterfeit goods bearing the trademarks of the most famous international brands, reports Al-Anba daily.
In a press statement, the ministry confirmed the implementation of the immediate closure order for these two stores, and that the necessary legal procedures are being completed.
The ministry added its inspection teams are carrying out their tasks daily to ensure strict compliance with the regulations.
