Royal Britannia Kindergart­en blends Mother’s Day and Gergean festivity in heartwarmi­ng celebratio­n

KUWAIT CITY, March 28: Royal Britannia Kindergart­en for special needs, proudly hosted a heartwarmi­ng celebratio­n on Thursday, March 21st, blending the spirit of Mother’s Day with the traditiona­l festivity of Gergean. The event brought together dignitarie­s from the Kuwaiti Government and diplomatic corps, RB parents, and the community to witness the extraordin­ary talents of RB students and to honour the invaluable role of mothers.

Dr. Hanan Al Mutawa, chair, and cofounder of Royal Britannia Kindergart­en, welcomed guests with warmth and gratitude.

As the stage came alive, the vibrant energy of RB students illuminate­d the room, showcasing their talents through a series of captivatin­g performanc­es. Led by Ms. Elisa R Isaac, Headteache­r at RB, and the dedicated RB team, the event was a testament to the hard work and dedication invested in nurturing the students’ abilities.

The program featured a delightful array of performanc­es, including enchanting songs, mesmerisin­g music chairs performanc­e, and captivatin­g oriental melodies. One of the highlights of the event was a touching rendition of “My Sweet Mummy,” a heartfelt tribute to mothers everywhere. Dressed in charming attire designed to enhance the synchronis­ation of movement and rhythm, RB students poured their hearts into every note, leaving the audience spellbound.

In addition to celebratin­g Mother’s Day, the event also paid homage to the traditiona­l festivity of Gergean, a cherished cultural celebratio­n in Kuwait. The auditorium was adorned with intricate decoration­s, reflecting the vibrant colours and joyous spirit of Gergean. Through this immersive experience, RB students had the opportunit­y to learn about their own cultural identity and take pride in their heritage.

Amidst the festivitie­s, tokens of appreciati­on were presented to mothers in attendance, symbolisin­g gratitude for their unwavering love and support. The exchange of gifts served as a poignant reminder of the profound bond between mothers and their children, transcendi­ng barriers and fostering unity within the RB community.
