KIC distributes Iftar meals to Muslims fasting in Ramadan
KUWAIT CITY, April 1: Kuwait Insurance Company (KIC), in cooperation with the Kuwait Food and Relief Bank, continued for the second year in a row its charitable campaign “Iftar for the Fasting Person” by distributing Iftar meals to fasting workers and people with limited income in the Mubarakiya Heritage Market during the holy month of Ramadan. This event reflected the Company’s keenness to have the populace participate in all community events. Employees of the Kuwait Insurance Company and the Kuwait Food and Relief Bank also participated in this campaign.
Commenting on the campaign, Fajr Al-Sayegh, Manager of Corporate Communications at Kuwait Insurance Company, said: “This campaign comes within the framework of the Company’s enthusiasm to continue social and volunteer work in a way that serves the community in its various segments. This initiative is also considered one of the pillars of the Company’s Ramadan program this year. The Company provides breakfast meals in the areas most crowded with workers”.
She stated that Kuwait Insurance Company continues its commitment to supporting needy groups in society throughout the year, especially in the holy month of Ramadan. She also stressed the Company’s keenness to establish a culture of cooperation and volunteer work among its employees as it is an integral part of its social responsibility.
Finally, Al-Sayegh thanked the Kuwait Food and Relief Bank for contributing in providing Iftar meals for fasting people and praised the Bank’s tireless efforts in cooperating with this campaign, stressing the importance of the Bank’s pioneering role in the charitable field.
