KFF readiness to tackle emergencies inspected
KUWAIT CITY, April 1: Acting Director of Kuwait Firefighting Force (KFF) Major General Khaled Fahad has instructed the concerned officials at KFF to implement the directives of His Highness the Amir and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on the need to be vigilant and fully prepared for emergencies, reports Al-Nahar daily.
Fahad conducted an inspection of the fire force’s positions responsible for securing mosques. The purpose of this inspection was to assess the preparations and readiness of the fire force both inside and outside the places of worship, with the aim of ensuring the safety and protection of worshippers during the last ten days of the holy month of Ramadan.
This visit forms a part of the fire force’s strategic plans, which involve close cooperation and coordination with various governmental sectors. The overarching goal is to ensure that all buildings, facilities, mosques, and places of worship comply with safety and fire prevention regulations. By doing so, the fire force aims to safeguard lives and property and maintain community security.
In a press statement, KFF disclosed that Fahad met with the officials, during which he conveyed to them the greetings of Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and acting Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Al-Sabah who emphasized the need to implement the royal directives on the continuation of vigilance and preparations to deal with and prevent risks, accidents and fires, intensify inspection campaigns, and ensure strict compliance with safety and fire prevention regulations.
He also stressed the need to continue inspection campaigns in commercial and investment buildings, industrial plots and others; keep pace with developments and changes in the field of prevention and civil protection; strengthen preventive strategies and crisis and disaster management plans; follow-up and communicate with all departments and centers to inspect the progress of work; and consider everyone’s needs to raise the career level of all KFF staff.
