KUWAIT CITY, April 1: Kuwait Finance House (KFH) honored the winners of its 11th annual Holy Quran recitation competition, Qurra’a Baitek. The competition drew a large number of participants from children and young adults.

The honoring ceremony was attended by Dr. Sayyid Mohammad AlSayyid Abdul Razzaq Al-Tabtabaei, Chairman of KFH Fatwa and Sharia’a Supervisory Board, and Eng. Fahad Khaled Al-Mukhaizeem, KFH Group Chief Strategy Officer.

In his speech at the ceremony, Dr. Al-Tabtabaei highlighted KFH’s commitment to social responsibility, emphasizing its support for initiatives that bring young generation closer to the Holy Quran during Ramadan.

Al-Tabtabaei praised the efforts of the competition’s organizers and judges, commending them on achieving successful results. He then congratulated the winners and their parents. Additionally, Al-Tabtabaei expressed his gratitude to KFH’s Board of Directors and Executive Management for their support of such initiatives.

The competition saw over 50 winners recognized after their performance was professionally assessed by expert judges. Contestants’ abilities and skill levels were carefully evaluated throughout the competition. A specialized team of distinguished reciters in Kuwait prepared custom tests for the contestants, tailored to their skill levels.

Qurra’a Baitek, the first of its kind organized by KFH, has not only attracted a large number of participants but has also grown over the years, fostering confidence among contestants. Other valuable elements, such as a distinguished jury, meticulous organization, and careful grouping by skill level, all contribute to a competitive yet motivating atmosphere for participants.

The contest aims to identify skilled participants in intonation and recitation, inspiring the younger generation to engage with the Holy Quran by offering insights into the rules of intonation. The event was live streamed on KFH’s social media channels and received extensive media coverage from various outlets.

The competition, boasting the largest prize value, is part of KFH’s “Increase Good Deeds in Ramadan” program, which also includes an iftar meals campaign. The program also includes providing hospitality service in mosques, sports and youth activities, daily interaction with the public, Gergean events, awareness videos in cooperation with nutritionists and doctors, as well as videos on traffic awareness, promoting a culture of not speeding during Iftar in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior. In addition, the program comprises sharing Iftar with many entities that perform their duty during Iftar time, as well as distributing, in cooperation with the Kuwait Red Crescent Society, the food basket “Ramadan Basket” and Eid clothing to families in need in a new affirmation of KFH’s leadership in social responsibility.
