KISR holds workshop on innovative technological projects management
KUWAIT: The Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR) has organised a workshop on leadership in the management of innovative technological projects in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
The course, held in cooperation with the Kuala Lumpur-based International Centre for South-South Co-operation in Science, Technology and Innovation, discusses technical and innovative training and highlights the importance of innovative technological projects, how they are launched and internationally-adopted mechanisms to market scientific innovations.
“This workshop, which ends on Oct 3, aims at assessing the fundamentals of commercial opportunities, highlighting the major components required to create new projects and understanding the major factors which enable the launch of a project,” said KISR Deputy Director General for Information Nader Al-Awadhi.
The concepts of innovation and commercial transactions are fundamental factors included in KISR’s strategic plan, he said, expressing hope the course would enhance the strategy of commercial growth, competitiveness, commercial patterns and understanding of marketing mechanisms for innovative technological projects.
Some 45 experts in the field are taking part in the event from Malaysia, Egypt, India, Oman, Qatar, Tunisia, Kenya, Zambia, Pakistan, Sudan and Kuwait, represented by bodies like Kuwait University and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
The attendees are expected to come up with budgets for innovative projects, in addition to their means of marketing and the skills required for negotiating with financial experts in the industrial field in order to reach the best deals. — KUNA
