Accusations of Al-Adsani
MP Riyadh Al-Adsani made a very confusing statement on Monday where he not only mocked but also directly attacked the government and accused it of “being careless towards people’s lives and considering them a toy.” This is after some tragic accidents that included the drowning of two children in a pond in Wafra, a girl slipping into coma in Adan hospital after she was mistakenly injected with cortisone and the air leakage from the emergency door of one of KAC planes! We also tried to speak with some experienced scientists to find the missing link between the three accidents but were left empty-handed.
The drowning of the kids was sad and it would solely be the parents responsibility, as the father allowed them to swim in a contaminated pond in an off-limit place. The cortisone injection, as Al-Adsani himself said, was a human mistake among thousands of mistakes that occur in all hospitals around the world. Indeed, we have to hold those who committed accountable but we cannot hold the government responsible for this mistake. Also the incident of the air leakage from one of the emergency doors of Kuwait Airways aircraft was just an accident that occurs in thousands of aircraft every day. If the defect was discovered on ground, it would have been repaired before take-off, but it occurred mid-flight, so the captain took all the necessary precautions to reduce the leakage as well as the noise resulting from it.
Yet, what is the link between this leakage and the cortisone injection? And how is this linked to the kids drowning? And on what basis has the MP linked all the events and questioned the government? People’s lives are in the hands of fate, not the government. There are so many cases of old people living a long life while their young and athletic kids die in untimely and unfortunate accidents.
If Al-Adsani is keen on people’s safety, then why don’t we hear anyone speak about those who instigate demonstrations on the streets which almost always result in police force and injuries being reported? Who don’t such incidents move Al-Adsani to warn the youth against inviting an injury or a court sentence? Al-Adsani, enough teasing... concentrate on whatever is beneficial serves the people. — Al-Watan
