A gang of 4 beats, kidnaps a Syrian

KUWAIT: A Syrian expat accused four persons of kidnapping and beating him, before handcuffing him. They also took KD 600. The Syrian also accused an officer at Firdous police station of kicking him out and refused to register a complaint. A security sources said the expat went to Qairawan police station. The victim who works in construction, received a call from a lady who wanted to repair her house in Nahda area where he went to agree with the lady on the value of what she wanted done. He said that while at the house, he was surprised by four men entering the lady’s house, beat and handcuffed him, then took me to a Firdous area house after placing him in the trunk of the car, and took KD 600. The Syrian said he went to Firdous police station and explained to the officer what happened, but he kicked him out and did not accept his complaint. The Syrian said he knows one of the attackers, who is a citizen and has previous differences with him.

Fire breaks out

Fire broke out in a bridge under construction, for the new expansion project of First Ring Road near Al-Sabah health zone. Firemen from industrial Shuwaikh, Sulaibikhat, and back up centers rushed to the scene and fought the fire that continued from 3 pm until 8 pm because of difficulty reaching some places. No injuries were reported.

A “tug” lifted

KFSD through Shuaiba Sea Rescue Center along with the diving team, lifted a navigation hazard which is a “tug” in Jlaiah sea area. The process took seven hours to be completed.

This is not the first time the two sides cooperate in various areas.

Fire on boat

A boot was on fire across from Souk Sharq prompting Shuwaikh Sea Fire Center to rush to the boat and put out the fire. No injuries were reported.

Drug dealers arrested

Narcotics officers arrested two Arabs for selling drugs in Kuwait. Local drugs fighting unit received information about an Arab selling drugs, so an undercover source was asked to buy five grams of ICE, and he was arrested during the exchange. 50 grams of heroin and 40 grams of ICE were found in his house. He said that he receives the drugs from another Arab, where 250 grams of hashish, 10 grams of ICE and 20 illicit tablets were found.
