Burgan Bank sponsors art competition expo
KUWAIT: Burgan Bank announced that it will be sponsoring the ‘Universities Art Competition’ exhibition for the second consecutive year, held under the theme of ‘The Power of Life’. The event, which will take place at the C Club, is organized by ALARGAN International Real Estate Company in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters (NCCAL). It will be attended by University deans, prominent society figures, as well as a group of fine artists.
Every year, Burgan Bank hosts community events that aim at giving back to the community and those in need. In 2014, the first edition of the ‘Universities Art Competition’ exhibition witnessed vast participation by university students and was overwhelmingly successful. The bank’s keenness to support the exhibition once again stems from its firm belief that art enriches the quality of life in our community and in youth.
During the event, visitors will be welcomed to the open exhibition over the course of two days where they can view the students’ art work and also purchase their favorite pieces. The art competition is open to all students to participate and showcase their creative skills and in turn, have a chance to win brilliant prizes. Sharing a similar objective, the UNDP will be jointly supporting the competition entitled ‘Power of Life from Generation to Generation’ to advocate for the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), while the NCCAL is looking to encourage local youth to explore their creativity and talents.
The bank’s dedication to promoting a more prosperous Kuwait arises from its own commitment to developing youth to realize their ambitions and supporting the community as a whole.
