Knicks roll over Spurs

NEW YORK: Alexey Shved scored 21 points and made the key defensive play in overtime as the New York Knicks beat the San Antonio Spurs 104-100 in the NBA on Tuesday.

Rookie Langston Galloway had a career-high 22 points for the Knicks, who held the Spurs to just one basket in overtime to surprise the defending NBA champions. Lou Amundson finished with 12 points and a career-high 17 rebounds while playing tough against Tim Duncan.

Tony Parker scored 21 points for the Spurs and made their only basket in OT, 16 seconds into the period. They managed just two free throws from there in losing for the second time in nine games.

PELICANS 85, BUCKS 84

Anthony Davis had 20 points and 12 rebounds as the Pelicans held off Milwaukee. Davis, who shoots around 55 percent, hit only 6 of 18 shots, but made 8 of 9 free throws and hit a clutch 15-footer that gave New Orleans an 8582 lead with 1:07 left.

Ilyasova and Giannis Antetokoun­mpo each scored 15 for Milwaukee, while Jerryd Bayless and John Henson each scored 14. Quincy Pondexter hit five 3-pointers and finished with 18 points for New Orleans, while Omer Asik had 16 points and 11 rebounds.

CLIPPERS 99, HORNETS 92

JJ Redick scored 23 points and Chris Paul had 20 points and eight assists as the Clippers beat the Hornets. The Clippers led 63-41 with 10 minutes left in the third quarter. Charlotte rallied within a point in the final period. Blake Griffin had 19 points and 11 rebounds for the Clippers, who were coming off back-to-back losses to Dallas and Houston. Donatas Motiejunas scored 23 points and the Rockets used a big run late in the fourth quarter to break open a close game and beat the Magic. A driving layup by Victor Oladipo got the Magic within two points with about five minutes left before the Rockets used a 13-0 run, powered by three 3-pointers, to make it 107-92 with less than a minute remaining. Harden, who is second in the NBA in scoring, went 4 for 14, but made eight free throws to finish with 17 points. Oladipo’s 29 points led the Magic, who have dropped four in a row. Reggie Jackson had 23 points and a careerhigh 20 assists as the Pistons ended a 10-game skid with a comeback victory over the Grizzlies.

The Pistons trailed by 15 at halftime, but Jackson dominated Beno Udrih, who was starting at point guard in place of injured Mike Conley (ankle). Jackson had 11 points and 13 assists in the second half to pick up Detroit’s second 20-point, 20-assist game of the season.

Jeff Green led Memphis with 21 points, while Marc Gasol had 17 points and 11 rebounds before fouling out. Andre Drummond finished with 16 points and 16 rebounds for Detroit. —AP
