AOU conducts workshop on its working environment

The Arab Open University (AOU) organized a workshop on “Analysis of AOU Working Environment”, which was headed by Professor Moudi Al-Humoud, Rector of AOU, and in presence of Vice Rectors, Deans, Directors of AOU Branches and Directors of HQ Departments in addition to Professor Mahmood El-Gamal, Professor of Business Studies at Kuwait University and a member of the Performance Evaluation Committee of the AOU Strategic Plan.

Al-Humoud started the workshop by a statement confirming the commitment of AOU towards the participation of all AOU leadership and top management in this workshop in order to set the fourth AOU strategic plan (2017-2022), which are jointly being worked on. AOU leadership and top management staff participated in this workshop to benefit from their experience and from the achieved projects and programs in the third strategic plan 2012 - 2016.

The AOU top management is looking forward to achieving the workshop objectives, primarily SWOT analysis of AOU and its internal and external environment at all its branches. One of the main workshop objectives is the evaluation of achievement of objectives of the current and fourth strategic plans, Al-Humoud said, adding AOU aims to translate its noble mission and objectives into reality and to be pioneering in building science and knowledge society as well as to keep up with the fast-evolving developments in the fields of science, research and services. During the workshop, all participants represented their department working environment at AOU. The workshop was concluded with a set of recommendations and suggestions in the light of discussion held on this issue.
