KUWAIT: The National Union of Kuwaiti Students in the United States (NUKS USA) recently recognized Zain’s exceptional support as a Platinum sponsor of the Union’s 32nd annual conference that was recently held in San Diego during November under the patronage and attendance of the Minster of Education and Minster of Higher Education Dr Badr Al-Essa.

A NUKS USA delegation visited the company’s main headquarters in Shuwaikh whereby they met Zain Group Chairman Assad Ahmad Al-Banwan and Zain Kuwait Chief Executive Officer Eaman Al-Roudhan and expressed their gratitude to Zain’s continuous support to the annual conference, implementing the important role of the private sector’s contribution to supporting the Kuwaiti youth locally and abroad.

Reciprocally the Chairman and Kuwait CEO expressed their admiration of the tremendous efforts exerted by the union’s members, resulting in a greatly successful event that witnessed vast participation from students studying the US.

Zain’s annual participation in NUKS USA reinforces the company’s commitment to the youth of Kuwait and its desire to see them reach their full potential. This is the main intention behind the company’s support to NUKS USA for the past 12 years.

As in previous years, Zain took the opportunity to recognize and honor the top 10 Kuwaiti students studying in the US during the conference, with the aim of shedding light on accomplishments of leading students. The company also sponsored a sports symposium in which prominent Kuwaiti sports figures discussed issues relevant to the domestic sporting scene. Additionally, Zain organized several sporting activities held in conjunction with the event, where the company honored the winning team of the first place title of “Zain Football Tournament”, which the company sponsored for the third consecutive year. The tournament was a way to engage with the youth and share a family-like atmosphere with the students, with immense participation of 20 teams. The company also organized and for the first time a football tournament dedicated to female students, where the company also awarded the winning team for achieving the first place title.

Zain’s participation in NUKS USA reinforces the company’s commitment to the youth of Kuwait and its desire to see them reach their full potential. The event brought together distinguished national figures from across Kuwait who have had a significant impact on the country’s political, economic, cultural and sporting life, and is a rare blend of intellectual and social content for the attendees.

The company sees its annual participation in the conference as part of its responsibility as a leading national company to help provide bright and enthusiastic young Kuwaitis who are looking to enter the job market with suitable development opportunities.
