Oore­doo Kuwait or­ga­nizes ‘Ex­ec­u­tive Pres­ence’ work­shop for its lead­ers

KUWAIT: Oore­doo Kuwait, a mem­ber of Oore­doo in­ter­na­tional group, con­cluded this year’s de­vel­op­ment agenda for its Lead­ers with the ‘Ex­ec­u­tive Pres­ence’ work­shop. The work­shop was held at the com­pany’s head­quar­ter in Kuwait City, and was at­tended by a num­ber of Oore­doo Kuwait direc­tors and ex­ec­u­tive staff mem­bers.

The main fo­cus of the two day work­shop, led by the rep­utable Cana­dian based or­ga­ni­za­tion, was to de­velop skills and abil­i­ties that com­mu­ni­cate the ex­ec­u­tive pres­ence re­quired to achieve up­ward mo­bil­ity. Ad­di­tion­ally, the work­shop aim to em­power Lead­ers with the cred­i­bil­ity to se­cure busi­ness goals, in ad­di­tion to en­cour­ag­ing con­fi­dence and el­e­vat­ing the global stature of the or­ga­ni­za­tion as a pro­gres­sive in­no­va­tor.

The Ex­ec­u­tive Pres­ence de­vel­op­ment pro­gram was an out­come need of the ex­ten­sive as­sess­ments and the Tal­ent Re­views that were con­ducted ear­lier this year.

Com­ment­ing on this, Saleh Al-Houti, Oore­doo Kuwait Chief Hu­man Re­sources Of­fi­cer said: “We are very pleased to col­lab­o­rate with the renowned or­ga­ni­za­tion such as Cor­po­rate Class Inc. to con­duct a two day work­shop, which is the first of its kind in the GCC. Through­out the year, we have worked with renowned in­sti­tutes to de­velop our employees and em­power them with knowl­edge and train­ing ex­pe­ri­ence. This stems from our deep-rooted be­lief in the im­por­tance of in­vest­ing in our employees.”

Oore­doo Kuwait has al­ways been keen on pro­vid­ing its employees with the needed work­shops and de­vel­op­ment pro­grams to con­tin­u­ously help im­prov­ing their skills and tal­ents to achieve ex­cel­lence in their per­for­mance. In 2015 Oore­doo Kuwait had con­ducted 51 de­vel­op­ment pro­grams in ad­di­tion to an ‘On job train­ing’ for Front Lin­ers. Th­ese de­vel­op­ment pro­grams cov­ered var­i­ous top­ics for dif­fer­ent de­part­ments in­clud­ing tech­ni­cal and soft cour­ses, at­tended by Oore­doo employees and fran­chises rep­re­sen­ta­tives.

In ad­di­tion to the train­ing cour­ses and work­shops, Oore­doo Kuwait of­fered 2 op­por­tu­ni­ties for funded bach­e­lor de­grees for its na­tional’s employees this year and 3 seats for mas­ter’s de­gree.

Th­ese as­sess­ments, tal­ent re­views, work­shops and de­vel­op­ment pro­grams are part of Oore­doo’s strate­gic plan to in­vest in its hu­man cap­i­tal and de­velop the tal­ents and ca­pac­i­ties of its employees in or­der to at­tain the high stan­dard level they wish to achieve and fur­ther con­trib­ute to the suc­cess of the com­pany.
