The 1st Arab E-Government Forum will be held under the slogan “The Road to Sustainable Modernity” next August in Sharm Al Sheikh in cooperation with the Arab League.

The agreement is the first regional expansion of NoufExpo Company for organizing exhibitions in the Arab World, thus moving into organizing exhibitions in the Arab World after its success in organizing the E-Gov Forum in Kuwait in the last 3 years, by bringing together various government agencies and local and international private section companies, especially those working the technology sector, for the purpose of exchanging experiences, latest technologies and future solutions in order to enhance the efficiency of governmental administration.

The expansion of NoufExpo

The General Manager of NoufExpo Yousef Khalid Al-Marzouk said that organizing the next forum in Sharm Al Sheikh stems from its distinction as a venue of international-conference tourism and a safe place to organize a forum embracing regional governments and major international corporations. Moreover, organizing the forum outside Kuwait confirms the beginning of implementing NoufExpo’s strategy of regional expansion after its success in achieving its local strategic goals.

Marzouk added: “We look forward to making this forum an Arab Platform to enhance the opportunities of learning about the latest world technologies, inventions and solutions to help regional governments provide their peoples with smart and innovative services. Marzouk stressed that the Forum is an open invitation to Arab Governments and Arab private sector to benefit from the E-Gov experience in the region and the best ways of solving the problems and challenges they face and how to overcome them with the best low-cost practices and the highest returns for the governments and the peoples.

Marzouk explained that the choice of the forum’s topic “The Road to Sustainable Modernity” stemmed from the importance of stressing that to transport modern technology it is not enough to make new roads but most importantly to put in place systems that help the long-term sustainability of technology. The Forum will also be concerned with discussing information security which is the main guarantee of the success of the E-Gov programs as well as being a vital element in national security.
