KIB Silver Sponsor of ‘Diabetes Challenge Trip’
In partnership with Blue Circle
Blue Circle, the non-profit movement founded by a group of local diabetic youth, recently honored Kuwait International Bank (KIB) for their silver sponsorship towards the ‘Diabetes Challenge Trip’. The initiative, which is focused on raising awareness of diabetes, sent a group of diabetic youth on an international trip to take part in a number of sporting challenges.
The initiative sought to highlight how diabetic patients are able to take charge of their conditions and successfully manage their disease, through determination and strong will. Irrespective of their diagnosis, these individuals are able to live a normal and fulfilling life, and are more than capable of actively taking part in demanding and challenging activities.
“KIB is always striving to support such significant social initiatives and activities, which aim to raise awareness and drive real change in the community. We are also dedicated to offering support to local youth projects and initiatives, as these young activists are the ones who will be shaping the future of this country, and it is vital that we offer them all the help they need in order to become active partners in social development,” said Nawaf Najia, Manager of the Corporate Communications Unit at KIB.
“KIB is especially focused on supporting healthcare-focused initiatives, in its efforts to promote a greater sense of health consciousness across the country,” added Najia. KIB’s sponsorship of the ‘Diabetes Challenge Trip’ comes within the context of its holistic and robust social responsibility program, and in line with its efforts to promote a culture of volunteering, collaborative initiatives and non-profit programs nationwide.
