New court officials swear in before Amir
Sheikh Sabah praises cultural center
KUWAIT: His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, with the attendance of His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, received yesterday at Bayan Palace Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs and Acting Justice Minister Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah.
His Highness the Amir also met with Advisor Khaled Salem Ali Mohammed where he was constitutionally sworn in as Vice-President of the Court of Cassation and Advisor Adel Buresly where he was constitutionally sworn in as President of the Court of First Instance.
Landmark
His Highness the Amir also received Deputy Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Ali Jarrah Al-Sabah, the Amiri Diwan Administrative and Financial Chief and Chairman of the Executive Committee for the establishment of cultural centers of the Amiri Diwan Abdulaziz Saud Ishaq and those in charge of Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Center project as well as the artists who participated in the center’s opening ceremony.
During the meeting, His Highness the Amir praised efforts made to accomplish this project, and expressed his gratitude for the hard work done by the team that has completed this cultural landmark in record time with global specifications. His Highness also thanked the artists who participated in the center’s opening ceremony, wishing them luck and success.
The participating artists meanwhile expressed their honor to participate in the opening of this architectural edifice, and expressed their happiness for meeting His Highness the Amir, wishing Kuwait more progress and prosperity. The team later met with His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.
Ambassadors
In other news, His Highness the Amir received Russian Ambassador to Kuwait Alexey Solomatin. The Russian Ambassador presented to His Highness the Kuwaiti copy of the silver replica stamps allocated for Hajj in Holy City of Makkah. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Ali Jarrah Al-Sabah. Meanwhile, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received the newlyappointed ambassadors of South Sudan, Bangladesh and Yemen to Kuwait. Earlier, His Highness the Crown Prince met with Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education Dr Bader Al-Essa, Minister of Commerce and Industry Dr Yousef Al-Ali, Sheikh Homoud Sabah Al-Salem Al-Homoud Al-Sabah and National Security Apparatus Chief Sheikh Thamer Al-Ali Al-Sabah. —KUNA
