AAW joins Horeca as golden sponsor
KUWAIT: Ali Abdulwahab Al-Mutawa Commercial Company (AAW) announced plans to participate in the 2017 Horeca Kuwait exhibition as a golden sponsor, joining more than 80 participating companies in the event which takes place on January 18-19, 2017 at the Kuwait International Fairground in Mishref.
In this regard, AAW’s CEO Ali Faisal Al-Mutawa said that Horeca plays a major role in gathering regional companies and clients together under one roof, adding that that it opens new channels for businesses in the hospitality and food sectors. “Taking part in such exhibitions help encourage development projects and the youth to start their own businesses, thus ultimately helping diversify national income sources,” he explained. Further, Mutawa added that AAW has over 80 years of experience and excellence as a leading retail and distribution company. He added that it invests in seven various retail sectors and represent over 100 international brands it introduces to local markets. Mutawa also indicated that AAW runs the largest and most complicated distribution operations in Kuwait with a storage capacity of over 250,000 square meters to deliver over 200 products to consumers on daily basis. “We take pride in supplying products that can be found in every single supermarket and home in Kuwait. We represent some of the world’s most prominent and successful retail brands, and we have been the exclusive distributor of Procter and Gamble products and Roche Pharmaceuticals since 1965,” he added.
Moreover, Mutawa said that AAW has a legacy of almost 100 years as it was established in 1918 by Ali Abdulwahab Al-Mutawa, starting with practicing modest commercial activities and importing consumer products such as rice, sugar, tea and fabrics from neighboring countries including Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Iran.
Separately, Al-Babtain Group also announced its intention to take part in the exhibition. On that regard, General Manager Makram Khater announced a special offer that the group is making exclusively during the exhibition on the Renault Dokker. The vehicle will be available for customers during the exhibition at an exclusive price of KD 2,999, in addition to other privileges including a five year (or up to 200,000 kilometers of mileage) warranty, free registration and free insurance. The 2017 Horeca Kuwait exhibition; the sixth edition of the event that joins companies specialized in hospitality, food industry, hotel equipment, tourism and transport, is organized by Leaders Group in collaboration with Hospitality Services Company, and takes place under the patronage of Minister of Information and State Minister for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah.
