Ooredoo holds social media training seminar for GSSCPD employees
KUWAIT: Ooredoo, the fastest network in Kuwait, held a training session for the employees of the General Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Planning and Development at Ooredoo’s head office in Kuwait City. The session was presented by Senior Manager of Social Media, Corporate Social Responsibility, and Sponsorship Yousef Al-Shallal.
Ooredoo was selected due to its leadership and innovation in the field of social media in the private sector, especially as one of the fastest-growing accounts in Kuwait. The training session covered a number of key areas, such as setting strategies to increase engagement on social media, setting clear goals, and handling customer interaction on social media accounts.
The training program was conducted in coordination with the United Nations Development Program in Kuwait. The training session was concluded with questions and answers, in addition to an open discussion about the latest trends, concerns and problems facing individuals handling social media accounts for corporate and government entities.
Empowering youth is among Ooredoo’s top priorities through its CSR strategy. The company has recently signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of State for Youth Affairs, to support youth projects and initiatives. Ooredoo is continuously working with the Ministry to enrich youth experience in a variety of fields, with a focus on volunteerism.
