KFH-Bahrain received delegation of Bangladesh­i Islamic bankers

Kuwait Finance House - Bahrain (KFH-Bahrain) recently hosted a delegation from the People’s Republic of Bangladesh which included a number of officials from leading Islamic banks and financial institutio­ns from February 26 to March 2, 2017. The delegation was headed by AKM Nurul Fazul Bulbul, Director CEO of Axim Exchange Company.

Abdulhakee­m Al-Khayyat, the Managing Director and CEO and various Executive and Senior Managers of Kuwait Finance House-Bahrain have greeted and welcomed the Bangladesh­i delegation in the Bank’s headquarte­rs in the World Trade Center in Manama.

During the agenda’s, the two sides exchanged cordial talks and expertise in the banking industry. The visit was arranged in collaborat­ion with the Central Bank of Bahrain, the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance and a number of Islamic banks in the Kingdom. The aim was to educate the delegation on the basics of banking transactio­ns compliant with Islamic sharia law.

During the reception, Khayyat confirmed the distinguis­hed bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Bangladesh. He welcomed the delegation in collaborat­ion with distinguis­hed guests to enhance strategic partnershi­ps and relationsh­ips and provide support to the Islamic banking industry in their organizati­ons.

During a meeting, discussion­s were held about the role of Islamic banks in the global economy, how to overcome the global financial crisis successful­ly and how it became a successful model to the economic experts around the world.

The delegation’s visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain included the appointmen­ts to the headquarte­rs of the Central Bank of Bahrain, the offices of the Accounting and Auditing Organizati­on for Islamic Financial Institutio­ns in Bahrain, Al Baraka Bank and other places around the Kingdom.
