QNB Kuwait organizes blood donation drive
QNB Kuwait has recently organized a blood donation campaign under the theme “One drop of blood saves a life,” in which a large number of the Bank’s employees took part. The initiative comes as part of the Bank’s CSR program and expresses the Bank’s keenness to play a role in society. The campaign has a dual purpose of enhancing blood bank stocks and raising awareness of the importance of donating blood and the resulting health benefits to society.
Samir Salman, General Manager of QNB Kuwait, explained that all the Bank’s employees are aware of the importance of donating blood, as it helps save patients’ lives and instills the voluntary spirit in the service of society. For their part, officials at the blood bank expressed their appreciation of this initiative, calling on other institutions to follow suit. The health sector is one of six key areas that QNB Group focuses on to reflect its values and goals, and to emphasize its keenness to support such events that benefit society.
The employee blood donation campaign is one of several local and international initiatives in the health sector sponsored by the Bank. QNB Group staff exceeds 28,000, operating through 1,200 locations with a network of 4,300 ATMs.
