Hotel chain offers divorce guarantee

A hotel chain is offering refunds to couples who divorce within a year of staying at their hotels. Sweden's The Countrysid­e Hotels group want to encourage people to stay together and work on their relationsh­ip so are offering to hand back the money of their two-day stay if they break up within 12 months, BBC News reports. Petra Fagrell Jansson, who is responsibl­e for one of the hotels, shared: "Everyone needs a bit more time for their relationsh­ips and a little break from everyday life." Couples who want to take up this offer should already be married and will have to stay in the same room as well as referencin­g the offer at the time of booking.

Burglar caught with his pants down

An alleged burglar was left red-faced after his trousers fellow down when he got stuck on a set of railings. A man was spotted trying to jump over the gate to get into Miles Elementary School in Tucson, Arizona, and in a bid to get away quickly, he caught his trousers on the top of the railings and was left hanging from the fence, the Daily Telegraph newspaper reports. Jesse Sensibar photograph­ed the whole thing, uploading it to Facebook, where he later shared: ‘One more reason not to jump fences in baggy pants. I saw this homie hanging around at the Miles School this morning when I was rolling eastbound on Broadway Avenue. I was going to help him off the fence but by the time I got back around the block the cops were rolling up two cars deep.‘ I don’t know what his story was but it must not have been good enough, fifteen minutes later when I went back by the other direction going home he was cuffed up in the backseat. He smiled for the camera."

Prankster eats breakfast in busy road

A man has been arrested after eating breakfast in the middle of a busy road. Prankster Kiaron Thomas pitched up a table and chair on a busy highway and proceeded to tuck into a stack of pancakes with bacon, scrambled eggs and maple syrup as cars and lorries sped past him, the Daily Record reports. The whole video was captured by pals and uploaded to Facebook but Kiaron was later arrested and charged with obstructin­g the roadway and disrupting traffic. When asked how he felt about being arrested, he simply said: "[It's] what comes with fame."

Bosnian boy performs flipping, brick-smashing feat

A Bosnian teenager has performed an impressive, if painful to watch, stunt, breaking 111 concrete blocks with his head in a mere 35 seconds. Forward flipping his way down a line of 20 stacks of six blocks each, Kerim Ahmetspahi­c, a young taekwondo martial artist, smashed the blocks with his head in front of a cheering crowd in the Bosnian city of Visoko at the weekend. He appeared to falter on the 18th stack, but then recovered and finished to loud applause. Ahmetspahi­c received a certificat­e recording his achievemen­t and thanked his parents, his coach and his friends for helping him succeed in the unusual accomplish­ment. — Bang Showbiz
