AMIR MEETS COMMERCE MINISTER, ‘INVESTMENT PROMOTION’ CHIEF
AMIR OFFERS CONDOLENCES OVER COLOMBIA FLOOD VICTIMS
KUWAIT: His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received yesterday at Bayan Palace Minister of Commerce and Industry and acting State Minister for Youth Affairs Khaled Naser Al-Roudhan. The minister presented to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Dr Meshaal Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on the occasion of his appointment as President of Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA). The meeting was attended by Deputy Amiri Diwan Minister Sheikh Ali Jarrah Al-Sabah. Roudhan later presented Sheikh Dr Meshaal to His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
Earlier yesterday, His Highness the Amir received His Highness the Crown Prince, National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanem, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Head of the Court of Cassation and Head of the Constitutional Court Adviser Yousef Jasem Al-Mutawaa, as well as First Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.
Meanwhile, His Highness the Crown Prince received Ghanem, His Highness Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled, Deputy Premier and Defense Minister Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Deputy Premier and Interior Minister Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah, as well as State Minister for Cabinet Affairs and acting Information Minister Sheikh Mohammad Al-Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah. In other news, His Highness the Amir sent a cable of condolences to Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos over the victims of recent floods and avalanches that hit Colombia and left scores of people dead or wounded. In the cable, His Highness the Amir wished swift recovery of the wounded and prayed that Colombian officials could overcome the aftershocks of this natural disaster. His Highness the Crown Prince and His Highness the Prime Minister sent similar cables to the Colombian President, while Ghanem sent cables of condolences to Colombian Senate President Mauricio Arango and Speaker of the House of Representatives Miguel Angel Hernandez.
