PSA Kuwait organizes Pakistan National Day Soccer Cup 2017
On the Occasion of Pakistan National Day celebrations Pakistan Sports Association Kuwait (PSA) organizes Pakistan National Day Soccer Cup 2017 on March 23, at Salmiya Cricket ground. Soccer match was played between Pakistan green and Pakistan white teams to celebrate Pakistan National Day. Pakistan Green won the soccer cup by 1-0.
President of Pakistan Sports Association Kuwait Maqbool Ahmed, PSA Founder/Director General Muhammad Irfan Adil, Advisor M Irfan Shafiq, Executive members of PSA Zeeshan, Shahzad, Fiyaz, Sulaiman Manager of BEC, Ijaz, Zulfiqar, Umer Farooq and Shafiq Ahmed were among the guests. Many dignitaries and soccer lovers watched the thrilling game. Pakistan white team captain Taimoor Fayyaz received the runner up trophy while the Pakistan green team clinched the winner trophy which was received by Captain Kamran Kundi.
PSA Founder/Director General Muhammad Irfan Adil said that today’s event was organized by PSA in connection of Pakistan National Day celebrations in order to promote its significance among the youth. He stated that, Kuwait is our second home and we wish peace and prosperity to our Kuwaiti brothers and sisters.
PSA President Maqbool Ahmed said, Pakistan Sports Association Kuwait aims at engaging the youth and community in positive and healthy sports activities. It is an avenue for camaraderie and to develop a sense of belonging among individuals in the shared pursuit of sports and to provide an outlet for advanced participation and competition in a particular sport. PSA is a non-political, non partisan and nongovernmental organization, founded by Muhammad Irfan Adil on August 14, 2013.
PSA has been organizing sports events and festivals, among community with collaboration of local sports authorities and will work together with local organizations and charities to enhance the standing and awareness of the benefits of sports and exercise. Both teams were appreciated for their excellent performance. The event ended with award giving ceremony. M Irfan Shafiq, Advisor of PSA, thanked all the guests for witnessing the game. Certificates of participations were presented to all players by distinguished guests.
