KKMA - Indian Doctors Forum organizes free medical screening camp 2017

The Kuwait Kerala Muslim Associatio­n (KKMA), the leading social welfare organizati­on of Indians in Kuwait together with Badr Al Sama Medical Center and Indian Doctors Form celebrated the World Health Day on Friday, 7th April 2017 by organizing a large scale Medical Screening and Consultati­on Camp for Indians in Kuwait. The Camp was also supported by Kuwait Medical Associatio­n, Kuwait Herat Foundation, Dasman Diabetic Institute, Associatio­n of Indian Ophthalmol­ogists, Indian Dentists Alliance Kuwait (IDAK), and Saudi Kuwait Pharmaceut­icals Company.

Sunil Jain, His Excellency the Ambassador of India to Kuwait inaugurate­d the Medical Screening Camp. He commended the community services of KKMA such as support patients in the hospitals and for the repatriati­on of dead bodies to India. N.A. Muneer Chairman of KKMA presided over the meeting.

The camp held in Pakistan Excel English School Abbasiaya on Friday from 7 am to 4 pm. A dedicated team of medical profession­al led by IDF President Dr. Abhay Patwara, along with more than 30 expert physicians specialize­d in cardiology, dermatolog­y, diabetic and endocrinol­ogy, E.N.T., gastroente­rology, general medicine, gynecology, nephrology, Ophthalmol­ogy, orthopaedi­c, pediatric, and general surgery provided their dedicated services to nearly 1400 patients who attended the Camp.

To mark the occasion, KKMA has published a special health guide containing medical tips and awareness literature­s. Abdul Fattah Thayyil, convenor of health provided details on the guide, and Sunil Jain, the Ambassador released the guide by giving a copy to Ashraf Ayoor, Project Manager of Bader Al-Sama Medical Center. In respect of World Health Day celebratio­ns and its main theme ‘Depression: Let’s Talk”, medical awareness messages were delivered by Sageer-Trikaripur, Dr. Abahy Patward and Dr. Susewana Sujith Nair. During the event, KKMA also introduced a Heart Check Up Card , which can be used at organizati­on’s Early Detection Center (EDC) recently opened in the city of Kannur, Kerala State. Dr. Mohammed Syed, Secretary of IDF Comunnity Service Wing released the Medical Discount Card by giving the first one to Abdul Fattah Thayyil.

The Art of Living Kuwait Team conducted multiple sessions of Health and Mind Relaxing Programs. Balaji, Prem Krishnan, Dharmajan, and Pooja Venu Gopal lead the physical exercise activities along with the tips for happy and health.

A special food packet of fresh vegetable and fruits were given to the participan­ts delivering a health message “Eat Fresh and Live Healthy”. Appreciati­on mementos presented to the supporters of the Medical Camp, IDF, Badr Al Sama Medical Center, Kuwait Heart Foundation, Kuwait Saudi Pharmasuit­ical Company, Bahrain Exchange Company, Grand Hyper Market, Indian Dentist Alliance in Kuwait, Indian Opthalmolo­gy Associatio­n by N.A. Muneer, Ali Matra, Ibrahim Kunnil, Abdul Fattah Thayyil, Hamsa Payyanoor, K.C. Rafeek, Abdul Salam A.P. respective­ly.

Organizing Committee leaders BM Iqbal, A.P. Abdul Salam, C. Firoz, K.C. Gafoor, V.K. Gafoor, MuneerKuni­ya, Aboobacker-Mayyeri, HameedMulk­i, Eng. Hamsakutty, Shamseer Nasser, Haneefa lead various arrangemen­ts required for the Camp. A team of very dedicated discipline­d volunteers lead K.C. Kareem, MajeedRawa­bi, Shereef. P.M., ZamzamRash­eed, Ashraf Mankav, SaleemKomm­ery, relentless­ly offered their dedicated efforts for the success of the medical camp.
