Truth between Al-Nisif and Al-Roumi
If someone wishes to know the truth about what happened and what is happening at Kuwait Airways, he will have to meet two particular people; former chairpersons Sami Al-Nisf and Rasha Al-Roumi. By talking to them, one will even know what will happen to Kuwait’s only and first national carrier and the problems it has been suffering from.
Roumi and Nisf are the only ones capable of telling the truth about what this corporation, which is logically, constitutionally and legally owned by all Kuwaitis as part of public funds in which they indirectly own shares, has been suffering from.
Kuwait Airways is owned by all citizens and anything affecting it will theoretically affect them all. What happened and is happening to it is considered a clear violation of citizens’ rights, as they own part of its shares.
This corporation, a pioneer in the region, should be supported by all citizens being its indirect co-owners, and the government must deal with it with utmost caution.
The government should also consult with the people, its associates in public funds, through their representatives in the parliament who are supposed to be defending the corporation and protecting it from any sort of danger or competition. This protection is stipulated in law and the constitution, and lawmakers must work on protecting and developing the carrier.
Moreover, if any lawmaker has a problem understanding what Kuwait Airways is suffering from, he will then have to contact Nisf and Roumi to know the whole truth; which will only take a simple ten-minute phone call.
