Indonesian Embassy hosts tourism promotion gala dinner
The Indonesian Embassy in Kuwait hosted an ‘Indonesian Tourism Promotion Gala Dinner’ in Al-Jahra Ballroom, JW Marriott Hotel, Kuwait City recently, which was attended by 43 VIP’s from various travel agencies, airline companies and representatives from tourism institution along with 3 other journalists from Kuwait Times newspaper, Al-Qabas newspaper and Al-Anba newspaper who recently just came back from Indonesia and visited 3 big cities which are Jakarta, Yogyakarta and Bali.
The Ambassador of Indonesia, Tatang Razak warmly welcomed the guests who seemed to be very enthusiast from the minute they walked into the ballroom where they were received with cocktails and Indonesian decorations with many banners not only about Indonesian natural beauty but also about Indonesian development such as in education where Indonesia now has almost 4000 universities and the progress of Indonesia’s technology in the field of aerospace, train and military weapons which products have been bought by many countries. Before enjoying the dinner, the participants were presented by a video presentation as shown in the banners and also testimonies from all the journalist who recently just came back from a 10 days familiarization trip in Indonesia and visited 3 big cities mentioned above.
Furthermore, Ambassador Tatang Razak will facilitate business matching and One on One meeting between Kuwait travel agencies who attended the gala dinner and 72 Indonesian travel agencies in Dubai from 24th-27th April 2017 on the sidelines of the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2017. There, will also be discussed the plans of a familiarization trip to Indonesia for Kuwait travel agencies. More than 12 millions of tourists from many countries visit Indonesia every year, almost 300 thousands from the Middle East but only 7 thousands from Kuwait because not many Kuwaitis know about Indonesia and the tourism sector contributed approximately $12 billion/year (5 percent of the National income).
