New generation capable of innovation

- By Faten Omar

Each of us can contribute to making Kuwait a better place for all of us to live. In our daily deeds and actions, we can find - if we choose to look - opportunities for improving Kuwait’s environment.

Kuwait Times interviewed Ahmed Adeeb Ahmed, a 31year-old Palestinian expat who works at a law firm and legal consultation in Kuwait.

He believes that Kuwait needs three main changes to be better and improved. “E-Kuwait; Kuwait needs to be more developed in technology for electronics and manufacturing. It should be technologically advanced everywhere in the hospitals, police stations, and governmental institutions,” he said.

Ahmed noted that he would meet with officials and experts to suggest these ideas that will develop the country and encourage people to invent and benefit from the technology of the West and Japan, which will create a new generation that is capable of innovation, development and production.

The second change Kuwait needs is to go green. “Every inch of desert should be planted with suitable trees and plants that can survive in this kind of weather. I would like to start an awareness campaign to remind Kuwaitis about their past and how their parents used to depend on nature,” he noted.

“Kuwait must put some efforts to show its culture through art. Modern Kuwaiti style mixed with the old traditions could depict the beauty of this country. Also, we must care and renew museums dedicated to these concerns so that the new generation can recognize the origin of Kuwait,” he added.
