-

VIVA, Kuwait’s fastest-growing and most developed telecom operator, announced that the top 11 qualifying players will be travelling to Madrid in Spain, to practice at VIVA Real Madrid Academy’s ground in Valdebebas Sport City, from July 30 until August 8, 2017. Commenting on this occasion, Abdulrazzaq Bader AlEssa, Corporate Communications Director at VIVA said: “We are very pleased to support those young athletes (between 13 and 16 years old), and bringing them closer to their dream of becoming professional football players.”

He added: “VIVA Real Madrid Soccer School is one of VIVA’s CSR initiatives that aims to support the youth through it, enhance their skills and grant them the opportunity to learn and communicate with international and professional coaches to earn the needed experience that lead them to fulfill their dreams.” Players were selected from over 400 participants who joined the VIVA RM Soccer Academy tryouts, held in last March in Kuwait, and will get the opportunity to travel to Madrid to join a training camp to get trained by famous soccer team coaches. A team from VIVA in addition to professionals and coaches will accompany the players to ensure their safety.

A judging committee from RMSS chose the top 11 players. Each of them were judged based on their soccer capability and talent, physical fitness, discipline, their communication skills amongst each other as players and their general conduct on and off the field. The training program focused on different technical areas, such as dribbling, short passing, turning and finishing. The programs were also designed to develop young players in other fields, such as tactical understanding, and mental, physical and social growth. Players’ daily trainings will be covered live through VIVA’s official social media platforms on Snapchat VIVAtelecom and Instagram VIVA telecom.
