Amir receives defense minister, undersecretary
KUWAIT: His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received at Bayan Palace yesterday Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and the newly appointed undersecretary at the ministry Sheikh Ahmad Mansour Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah. His Highness the Amir also received His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Acting Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Hamad Al-Sabah.
Meanwhile, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled, Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled and Sheikh Ahmad Al-Mansour. His Highness the Crown Prince also received Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah as well as Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr Mohammad Al-Fares. Furthermore, His Highness Sheikh Nawaf received the newly elected Director of the Arab League Education, Culture, and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) Dr Saud Al-Harbi. In the meantime, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled received Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled, Sheikh Ahmad Al-Mansour, Dr Mohammad Al-Fares and Dr Saud Al-Harbi.
In other news, His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah sent Tuesday a cable of condolences to Iraq’s President Fuad Masum and Prime Minister Dr Haider Al-Abadi. His Highness the Amir expressed his sincere condolences and sorrow over the death of former President Jalal Talabani. His Highness prayed to Allah Almighty to bestow mercy upon the deceased, place him in his heaven, and inspire his family with patience and solace. His Highness the Crown Prince and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah sent similar cables. Meanwhile, National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanem sent a cable of condolences to Iraq’s Speaker of the Council of Representatives Salim Al-Jabouri. — KUNA
