KIB sponsors Al-Sidra Association’s breast cancer awareness campaign

KUWAIT: In commemoration of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Kuwait International Bank (KIB) announced its sponsorship of the awareness campaign organized by Al-Sidra Association for Psychological Care of Cancer Patients, which is taking place throughout the month of October. This sponsorship comes as part of the Bank’s expansive breast cancer awareness campaign, as well as its long-standing strategic partnership with Al-Sidra Association.

This latest sponsorship covers a series of medical awareness lectures presented by Al-Sidra Association, which are aimed at educating women about the importance of early detection in breast cancer prevention, and which are being held on the premises of Al-Sidra Association and Kuwait University. As part of the campaign, Al-Sidra Association will also participate in activities organized by the State Audit Bureau and Kuwait TV, in addition to participating in a number of other activities and initiatives within the community aimed at promoting breast cancer awareness.

On this occasion, Manager of the Corporate Communications Unit at KIB, Nawaf Najia, said: “As a leading financial institution, we remain strongly committed to organizing and participating in various events that benefit the entire community, particularly initiatives that enhance health consciousness across the country. We are fully committed to playing an active role in spreading health awareness and educating people on the importance of early detection in disease prevention, through organizing and sponsoring informative lectures and awareness campaigns.”

Najia further noted that KIB devotes special attention to health awareness, in line with its comprehensive social responsibility program and its social duties towards the local community. He also added that the Bank has an impressive track record of spearheading and sponsoring initiatives which support the local health sector, stemming from its belief that the health sector plays a key role in improving the quality of life within the local community.
