World energy leaders to meet in Kuwait at KOGS 2017

KUWAIT: Over 5,000 world energy leaders, stakeholde­rs and executives will converge in Kuwait for the 3rd Society of Petroleum Engineers Kuwait Oil & Gas Show and Conference (KOGS 2017) in October for 4 days of strategic dialogue and business opportunit­ies.

The event will take place from 15-18 October 2017 at the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Centre and the Kuwait Internatio­nal Fair in Mishref, under the patronage of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah with official support from the Organizati­on of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), and Kuwait Petroleum Corporatio­n (KPC).

Convening under the theme ‘Shaping the Energy Future: Integratio­n and Diversific­ation,’ the conference program features over 200 expert speakers and covers topics across the full value chain focusing on today’s industry trends and challenges. Key features include a minister-to-minister panel session, an executive plenary session led by chief executives, 4 panel sessions and over 100 technical presentati­ons.

More than 200 companies from 24 countries will be in attendance at the parallel exhibition that takes place from 16-18 October 2017. The 14,000 sqm internatio­nal showcase features flagship participat­ion from NOCs and IOCs, state-of-the-art equipment, machinery, technologi­cal advancemen­ts and innovative services in the oil, gas, refining and petrochemi­cal sectors.

“The stature of this major internatio­nal oil and gas exhibition and conference befits Kuwait’s internatio­nal standing as one of the world’s leading oil producing nations, and mirrors the great strides we have made both upstream, downstream and in our overseas activities,” said His Excellency Issam A Almarzooq, Kuwait Minister of Oil and Minister of Electricit­y & Water, Sate of Kuwait and Chairman of the Board, Kuwait Petroleum Corporatio­n.

“The current growth witnessed in Kuwait’s oil and gas industry holds much promise for domestic and foreign oil and gas companies. KOGS 2017 will facilitate an important technologi­cal exchange between industry leaders, profession­als and government officials,” he continued.
