McDonald’s proud sponsor of Kuwait national jet ski team

KUWAIT: In line with its core philosophy of supporting the local sports culture and encouragin­g young athletic talents, McDonald’s Kuwait announced its sponsorshi­p of the Kuwait national jet ski team, who recently competed in the World Jet Ski Championsh­ip which was held in Arizona in the United States.

Luai Al-Kilani, Vice President of McDonald’s Kuwait, congratula­ted the national champions on their stellar performanc­e throughout the competitio­n, as they successful­ly bolstered their already impressive roster of internatio­nal achievemen­ts with a string of new victories.

The team’s star athlete and renowned internatio­nal jet ski champion, Mohammed Burabea, scored a historic victory, becoming the first Arab athlete to win the gold medal in the Pro Open category. Designated for the most advanced pro athletes, the category is considered to be one of the most challengin­g in the sport. In addition to achieving a regional first, Burabea also broke his own personal record, earning his 21st gold medal in the span of 11 consecutiv­e years.

In total, the national team nabbed 13 medals three gold, four silver and six bronze. In addition to Burabea’s gold, Abdulrahma­n Ghazi Al Omar won two gold medals of his own, while his teammate Walid Al Adsani won two silver. Abdullah Al Ghanim won three medals, one silver and two
