Qualitynet holds seminar with White House cyber security expert

KUWAIT: Qualitynet, Kuwait’s #1 ICT, Data Communicat­ions & Internet Services Provider yesterday held a One-Day Cyber Security Seminar, in associatio­n with Vigor Events. The seminar was held yesterday at the Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel by Michael Daniel, who was the Cyber Security Expert to former US President Obama at the White House.

“The seminar focused on helping you manage your organizati­on’s risks, through discussing the different types of cyberattac­ks, understand­ing the macro trends driving the evolution of cyber threats, the emerging threats and how to reduce your organizati­ons risk. It also focused on new ways to think about Cyber Security making your organizati­on more effective,” a release said.

With over two decades of experience working with the US government, Daniel is widely recognized as one of the world’s top Cyber Security experts in managing cyber risk to critical infrastruc­ture systems, such as financial services assets, electronic medical records and industrial control systems. He is the President of Cyber Threat Alliance, a nonprofit alliance that works to improve informatio­n sharing about cybercrime and other threats. The team he lead consisted of experts from Cyber Security giants such as McAfee, Fortinet, Symantec and Cisco among others.

Qualitynet recently joined forces with Quadron Cyber Security Ltd, a Hungarian Consulting House specialize­d in Cyber Security and Data Protection, to form ‘Q-Square, its Cyber Security Section. Q-Square brings together two well establishe­d IT, Data & Cyber Security and Services companies that can offer top notch testing, analysis and protection from the growing threats the cyber world is facing in the GCC region.

The Seminar was organized by Vigor & AlGas Events Co, and with the presence of Eng Salem Al-Ozainah, the president and CEO of CITRA, the support partner of the seminar.
