Turkmenistan’s Foreign Minister hands President’s letter to Amir
Sheikh Sabah meets Speaker Ghanem, officials
KUWAIT: His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah AlAhmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received at Bayan Palace yesterday the Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rasit Meredow, in the presence of First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.
Minister Meredow handed in a written letter on bolstering ties from President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow to His Highness the Amir. Deputy Minister of the Amiri Diwan Sheikh Ali Jarrah Al-Sabah attended the meeting.
Minister Meredow later met with His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad AlSabah as well. The meeting was attended by Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled, as well as Head of His Highness the Prime Minister’s Diwan Sheikha Etimad Khaled AlAhmad Al-Sabah and Kuwaiti Ambassador to Iran and non-resident Ambassador to Turkmenistan Majdi AlDhafiri. The visiting minister held a separate meeting with Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled in which they discussed ways to enhance the ongoing bilateral relation in various fields, in addition to regional and international developments that concerns both nations.
Earlier yesterday, His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah received National Assembly Speaker Marzouq AlGhanem. His Highness the Amir also received His Highness Sheikh Nasser Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber AlMubarak Al-Sabah. Meanwhile, His Highness the Prime Minister received Minister of State for Municipality Affairs and Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Mohammad Nasser Al-Jabri accompanied by visiting Consultant of the Saudi Royal Diwan and Member of the Senior Scholars Council, Sheikh Dr Abdullah bin AlManea. The meeting was attended by the Ministry of Awqaf Undersecretary Farid Emadi.
