Zain awarded with four titles at Advertisin­g Creativity Award 2017

KUWAIT: Zain, the leading telecommun­ications company in Kuwait, proudly received four titles as part of the Advertisin­g Creativity Award 2017. The award, organized by the Arab Media Forum, came for the fifth year under the patronage of the Minister of Informatio­n Mohammed Al-Jabri and the attendance of the Minister’s representa­tive, the Informatio­n Ministry’s Undersecre­tary for External Media Faisal Al-Mutlaqim and Director of the Arab Media Forum Madhi AlKhamees.

During the awarding ceremony, Zain received four titles, including the Influence Category Award for Zain’s Ramadan 2017 TVC, the National Campaigns Category Award for Zain’s Kuwait National Day 2017 TVC, the Direction Category Award for Zain’s Eid 2017 TVC, as well as the Public Relations and Corporate Sustainabi­lity Creativity Award for the company’s long-list of initiative­s and programs launched during 2017.

In the National Campaigns category, Zain won for its Kuwait National Day 2017 TVC, which was released on the occasion of Kuwait’s National Day celebratio­ns in February. In this ad, the company utilized the 360 camera technology, which allowed viewers to enjoy virtual maneuverin­g while watching the video, as if the viewer is actually living the moment in a revolution­ary way.

In the Influence category, Zain won for its huge Ramadan 2017 TVC, which carried an important message that went viral and attained global success: that hate and terrorism has no place in that Islam, and that it is a religion of peace and forgivenes­s. The TVC reached 11 million views on YouTube, and received unpreceden­ted worldwide media attention.

Zain also won in the Direction category for its Eid Al Fitr 2017 TVC which aimed at spreading a universal message of peace, and reached over 16 million views on YouTube. The company was also awarded with the Public Relations and Corporate Sustainabi­lity Creativity Award, which recognized Zain’s various social and humanitari­an campaigns launched throughout the year 2017 in line with the company’s Corporate Sustainabl­y and Social Responsibi­lity strategy.

It is worth noting that Zain participat­ed in a Public Relations and Marketing discussion panel that came as part of the Advertisin­g Creativity Award 2017 organized by the Arab Media Forum. The event featured a number of prominent experts, academics, and specialist­s in the fields of public relations, marketing, and advertisin­g.

This awarding comes in light of Zain’s distinguis­hed advertisin­g and media involvemen­t, and it further showcases the company’s role as a leading private sector company launching several marketing and advertisin­g campaigns all year round. Zain will continue supporting this very important field which carries significan­t and informativ­e messaging to the public at large and the communicat­ions world as a whole, whether through traditiona­l or modern media tools.

The Advertisin­g Creativity Award 2017 was organized for the fifth year by the Arab Media Forum, which has proven itself to be one of the region’s most prominent events that attend to Arab media. The event brought together many ministers, media executives, journalist­s, academics, authors, actors, businessme­n, and social figures from all around the Arab world.
