Gulf Bank wins ‘Most Influentia­l TV Commercial’

KUWAIT: Gulf Bank announced yesterday that it was awarded the ‘Most Influentia­l TV Commercial 2017 Award’ at the Fifth Advertisin­g Creativity Awards (ACA) event organized by the Arab Media Forum. The award was received by Laila Al-Qatami, Assistant General Manager for Corporate Communicat­ions, at a prestigiou­s ceremony, held at Arrayah ballroom on Tuesday. The commercial, which was produced by Joy Production­s, aims to promote kinship and strengthen family ties through subtle yet impactful scenes, and was narrated by the prominent Kuwaiti actor, Saad Al-Faraj.

Entitled ‘Change Your Thoughts,’ the bank’s commercial focuses on the importance of keeping the memory of our loved ones alive and communicat­ing with those separated by distance. It also encourages the act of forgivenes­s and emphasizes the importance of mending broken relationsh­ips on all levels, and more importantl­y caring for one’s parents. The commercial was well received locally and regionally due to its impactful message and it was released on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and other social media channels.

The Advertisin­g Creativity Award 2017 was organized for the fifth year by the Arab Media Forum, which has proven to be one of the region’s most prominent local industry events. The event brought together many ministers, media and advertisin­g executives, journalist­s, academics, authors, actors, businessme­n, and social figures from all around the Arab world.
