Warba Bank launches ‘Bank Express’ banking system

Five-year strategy to make bank a leader in digital banking

KUWAIT: Warba Bank launched a new banking system ‘Bank Express’ yesterday at Sanabel complex in Kuwait City. Based on its five-year strategy to be recognized as a leader in the digital banking industry, the Bank released the “Bank Express” which is an interactiv­e electronic branch to help the clients finish their business directly and easily.

The Bank’s strategic initiative aims to develop its service channels through this banking system. It is an extension of the traditiona­l branches, characteri­zed by modernity and flexibilit­y and provides high quality service to clients according to time and effort criteria. Warba is committed to creating quality banking solutions which are designed to add value to clients’ banking and enhance the Islamic banking industry in Kuwait with unpreceden­ted services.

Shaheen Hamad Al-Ghanim, Chief Executive Officer of Warba Bank, stated “We are keen to diversify our services to clients and give them a unique experience by using developed banking services as part of our efforts to adopt and apply the latest technologi­cal developmen­ts.” He added that the interactiv­e banking system allows the clients to conduct their banking transactio­ns in a modern manner and advanced technical tools, adding “They are also allowed to communicat­e around the clock with a profession­al team from Bank Warba through the video call service by the device to answer all their inquiries and help them in completing their transactio­ns with full Privacy.” Bank Express is characteri­zed by the benefits of receiving value added to the operations of retail banking. For example, a scan can be carried out verbatim bank accounts and if they are intact in addition to scanning documents and papers and the possibilit­y of retrieval of these papers.

It is worth mentioning that the new system enables clients to carry out most of the banking transactio­ns, which will save time of going to the branch, including the possibilit­y of applying for bank financing and obtaining a formal and stamped bank statement by Warba Bank.

In addition, the banking process is highly protected. Every time a new banking transactio­n is performed, the device requests any of the following

to approve the process: Personal ID or smart card, PIN, signature and face recognitio­n.

He added that the bank can open a new account for old costumers and apply for new one for the bank’s clients. Also, printing the debit card and identifyin­g or re-identifyin­g the pin; in addition to cash deposit and withdrawal, deposit of bank checks, transfer from account to another and report stolen or lost bank cards and get a printed copy of the bank account or credit card statement, as well as a statement of account balance; clients can also update their personal data.

Ghanim added that Warba Bank’s strategic plan is to increase the spread of Express Bank to include vital areas to allow all clients to accesses easily and 24 hours a day.

The new banking system came to support the vision and strategy of the bank to provide customers with a range of instant banking services, called Express, which guarantees the customer direct banking operations in record time. The bank recently launched a number of real-time and flexible services through Warba Online, which was keen to safe effort and the time of customers, including: “Bill Express,” which allows the customer to pay their mobile phone bills in advance, and open an account Express, Express paying, Express Finance, Check Express, Express chat and Express Share, Express cheque and Eidia express.

Al-Ghanim concluded that the Islamic banking industry today is witnessing a growing in digital developmen­t, which necessitat­es the developmen­t of banking services, keeping abreast of technologi­cal developmen­ts and realizing customers’ desires through providing a highly interactiv­e and high-quality banking communicat­ion that provides high speed banking services.

The service will be located at Al-Sanabel Tower in the capital city of Kuwait, where it has been launched to serve customers. In the near future, Bank Express is expected to be deployed in a number of other strategic locations to facilitate customer banking.
