ISC holds courses on leadership development
KUWAIT: Investment Studies Center at the Union of Investment Companies, organized an event on leading a transformation of an organization on 11 and 12 Dec 2017 and leadership development courses on 13 Dec at the UIC premises. Dr Steven D’Souza presented two programs on the occasions. The event was organized with the support of Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Science in cooperation with the American University in Cairo.
Director of Technical Support at the Union, Acting Director Fadwa Darweesh said the trainees learned a new form of how to adapt to the structure and culture as the case is in the social environment to support strategies of their companies and also see new organization systems such as Holocracy and Teal. The new forms were supported by the study of a case from INSED on Zappos that was bought by Amazon for $1.2 billion.
As for the condensed program for executive and higher administration, time was given to participants to shed light on their method of leadership. The program covered the methods of developing leadership qualities and ideas were exchanged about the book Dr D’Souza co-authored.
Darweesh said the program showed leaders the recent challenges they faced and in turn enabled them to use the best circumstances to enable them to make profits for their companies.
