Amir achieved comprehensive development: Info Minister

KUWAIT: Kuwait Minister of Information Mohammad Al-Jabri praised efforts made by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah since he took office to boost the economic statue of Kuwait. On the occasion of celebrating 12th anniversary of His Highness’s accession to power, Jabri said that the great achievements and unprecedented projects witnessed by the country in the past few years bear witness to the correct vision and insight of His Highness the Amir.

He stressed that His Highness the Amir has such a good impression in every position he has occupied since the 1950s and in every important work of achievement in the process of building the State of Kuwait since independence. Jabri continued that the role of His Highness the Amir in serving Kuwait is highly appreciated by his people, this resulted of electing him as the Amir of Kuwait on 29 Jan 2006 by both Kuwait people and parliament. He pointed out that His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad paid a special attention for the Kuwaiti society and preserving its unity and social status from challenges witnessed by the region.

His Highness the Amir was able to protect the country from many crises hit the region and was able to exclude his people from regional conflicts, Jabri noted. The minister said the Amiri vision of Kuwait 2035 represents a big leap for the country in order to achieve the goals of its people. It aims at taking Kuwait to higher level of prosperity and preservation of its security and stability.

He stressed that Kuwaiti people are proud of achievements made in all fields of service and productivity during the reign of His Highness the Amir, assuring that this Amiri vision to transform Kuwait into a regional and international trade center predicts the beginning of a new phase of progress and prosperity. The minister praised His Highness the Amir’s efforts to elevate Kuwait’s status and strengthen its important and influential role in the world by strengthening political relations with various countries and supporting humanitarian and charitable assistance. He noted that His Highness has crowned the State of Kuwait with unprecedented honor by the United Nations by granting him the title of Commander of Humanitarian Action and naming Kuwait as a center for humanitarian action in a unique precedent in the history of the international organization.

At the same time, he praised the leadership and wisdom of His Highness the Amir as a leader appreciated and respected by world countries, which resulted in Kuwait’s winning of a non-permanent seat in the UN Security Council. Minister Jabri pointed that celebrating this anniversary represent a renewal of the loyalty of Kuwaiti people to their leadership. Jabri stressed that the world admits the wisdom of His Highness the Amir to preserve peace and stability in various regions and to continue his leading role in solving crises and enhancing cooperation in the world, praying to the Almighty God to preserve and enjoy his health, wellness and long life.
