KUWAIT: MP Omar Al-Tabtabaei asked Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah AlKhaled Al-Sabah to follow and investigate suspicions around some Kuwaiti missions abroad. He said that he sent a letter to the National Assembly regarding collusion by some foreign ministry officials on this issue.

New mechanism

The health ministry has adopted a new mechanism to regulate the employment of doctors and technicians in the ministry through email only. The new mechanism will include announcement about vacancies based on requests by heads of departments and directors of central departments through the ministry website.

E-correspondence Kuwait Municipality Director General Ahmad AlManfouhi said the municipality is going ahead with activating full electronic correspondence with all state departments. He said the municipality currently has an electronic link with the justice ministry with regards to cases in courts concerning the municipality through a special email. He said all correspondence at the municipality is electronic, and there’s no paper system in the municipality except for certain sectors.

PACI certificate

An official source at the Manpower Public Authority said the certificate issued by the Public Authority of Civil Information (PACI) for properties now appears on screens at the labor departments, and shows the date when the building or office became operational. He said this deals with what is called temporary rental or “phantom rental”, which may have the possibility of bringing in laborers without justification. The authority also called on the traffic department to get approval for registering vehicles related to government contracts on the contract and not in the company’s file, and the number of drivers will be decided according to the number of vehicles registered in the government project.
