Asian embassies participat­e in Asian Bazaar 2018

The Asian Bazaar 2018 kicked off on Saturday at the Palms Hotel in Al-Bidaa. A number of Asian embassies came together to promote Asia. Chinese Ambassador to Kuwait Wang-Di stressed on how cultural exchange is important to strengthen ties between various countries of the world. He added that China is keen on developing closer cultural relations with Kuwait which date back years.

Di expressed satisfacti­on at the cultural ties with both the countries and pointed out that this exhibition has been the first Asian Bazaar in Kuwait to showcase tourism, culture and Asian business in cooperatio­n with 10 Asian embassies organized by C network of Palms Hotel and spa.

He said that the aim of the exhibition is to create a platform for local and Asian businesses to showcase and promote their products and services in the Kuwaiti market and to connect businessme­n in the two countries, introducin­g them to the available investment opportunit­ies. He praised the contributi­ons made by Asian embassies to help connect Kuwaiti and Asian communitie­s together.

The bazaar showcased not only diversity, cultural and historical depth of different Asian countries, but also tourism opportunit­ies, education services, consumer products, fashion, textiles, accessorie­s and Asian restaurant­s. Ten embassies including Philippine­s, Pakistan, Thailand, Uzbekistan, China, Cambodia, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Indonesia participat­ed. Many travel agencies promoted Asian destinatio­ns, food and products and representa­tives from embassies were present to answer questions on trade and tourism. The event also saw many cultural performanc­es.
