Kuwait, Ukraine introduce e-visa system

KUWAIT: Kuwait and Ukraine have started implementing a mutual e-visa system to be issued online or upon arrival at the airport, a Kuwaiti diplomat said yesterday. The initiative is based on a reciprocal basis, Assistant Foreign Minister for European Affairs Waleed Al-Khubaizi said against the backdrop of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two nations. He cited Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko’s recent visit to Kuwait, which resulted in a number deals signed, including the aforementioned e-visa system. The Kuwaiti diplomat spoke highly of his country’s ties with the eastern European nation, saying that tremendous progress has been made in recent years.
