KNES secondary graduation ceremony

Kuwait National English School successful­ly celebrated the Secondary Graduation Ceremony on Thursday April 12, 2018. The ceremony started at 7:15 pm and ended at 9:00 pm. It was in the Al Farabi School Theatre. Students who have completed their Secondary Education at Kuwait National English School received their Diploma. The Guests of Honor was Her Majesty’s Ambassador to Kuwait from the UK Michael Davenport, MBE as well as HE Ambassador for South Africa, MP Bona One, long service member of staff, Yousef Yousef, received the prestigiou­s Chairman’s Award in recognitio­n for his good and loyal service to Kuwait National English School.

The Head of Secondary wished all the graduates the best and commended them on their hard work and dedication throughout the years and stressed on the needs to maintain high academic standard in this era with digital technology, artificial intelligen­ce and the tremendous impact of social media. He emphasized that Kuwait National English School would continue to maintain progress.

To that end, the school would keep on working closely with the Council of Internatio­nal School (CIS), New England Associatio­n of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), the British Schools Overseas (BSO) and the British Schools in the Middle East (BSME) to continue to improve academic standards. Her Majesty’s Ambassador to Kuwait, Mr. Michael Davenport, talked about the benefit of technologi­es in our everyday life and gave a philosophi­cal approach to a student future journey through life. He acknowledg­ed the huge amount of Kuwait National English School students who continued their further studies in the United Kingdom and encouraged the graduating class 2018 to join them.

He thanked Kuwait National English School for the continuous involvemen­t with UNESCO in saving the environmen­t. The School Director, Madame Chantal Al Gharabally, concluded by congratula­ting class 2018 and thanked them for giving a meaning to her life, dedicated to students and education. Madame Chantal was very pleased with the success of KNES alumni around the world and expressed her gratitude to the Sixth Formers for their continuous involvemen­t in Fund Raising and in the organizati­on of school events such as Talent Show, Bake sale, overseas trips to Turkey & Greece etc.
