Al-Anbaa wins Al-Nahar trophy
KUWAIT: Al-Anbaa soccer team won AlNahar Ramadan Soccer Tournament for newspapers, magazines, satellite channels and websites by defeating Kuwaitia team 21 in the final match played on Friday at the PAAET sports Complex.
The final match was attended by Information Minister, State Minister for Youth Affairs Mohammad Al-Jabri, AlNahar Editor-in-Chief Dr Emad Bukhamseen and KJA Secretary Adnan AlRashed.
Minister Al-Jabri said the state spares no effort to support the media and provides all facilities to allow it carry out its educational, awareness, and development role.
He said that the objective media is what distinguished our country through the years, and he lauded Al-Nahar for introducing this tournament which strengthens relations between those in media.
The match started with each side feeling the other until Juan Carlos scored for AlAnbaa ending the first half with that score.
In the second half, Mohammad Khalid scored the equalizer following several attempts for Al-Kuwaitiya, only to have Juan Carlos score again for Al-Anbaa, giving it the cup and championship.
